冬至 (Dongzhi Festival)

The 冬至 (Dongzhi Festival) is a traditional Chinese festival celebrated during the winter solstice whereby it is s the day with shortest daytime and longest night.

In Mandarin class, our Year 6 students learned about the significance of the Dongzhi festival in Chinese culture and even made some yummy traditional dessert, 汤圆 tang yuan!
